We’re happy to to announce that we’ve partnered with the Byron Township Fire Department in their Annual Fire Safety Education Program.
We greatly appreciate our local Fire Department and all that the Byron Township Fire Fighters do for our community, and their commitment to the safety and well being of our families, friends and neighbors (they ran 1371 calls in 2021). So we were delighted when they asked Van Eerden Trucking for our assistance to sponsor this program.
Below are some further program details via Fire Chief, Bryan Looman:
In an effort to maintain our commitment to fire safety awareness and education for our children and community, The Byron Township Fire Department is continuing to organize our annual fire safety education program. We have received positive and encouraging feedback from the children, their parents, teachers, and seniors .
The materials are created, designed and produced by the National Fire Safety Council, Inc., and distributed by the United States Fire Safety Service, Inc.
A broad range of subjects will be addressed including general fire safety, dial 911, burn prevention, smoke alarm safety, and senior safety.
Our fire department will distribute this literature as we conduct presentations in our local schools, safety fairs and other community events.
